Behind the Drama
I am a graduate of Brigham Young University where I received my Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts Education, a minor in Ballroom Dance and an endorsement in both Spanish & Social Dance Education. I love the arts and believe that good theatre will leave you seeing life differently.
THEATRE
I have been in many productions acting in parts ranging from Blind Girl #3 in “The Miracle Worker” (my starring debut!) to Queen Margaret in “Richard III” but directing is my passion. My first directing project occurred in 6th grade when I held auditions for “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” during recess and held rehearsals at the baseball diamond. I have directed over a dozen productions ranging from competition plays to full fledge musicals and I love it all!
*THEATRE DREAM COME TRUE*
I got to study theatre in London, England. While there I saw over 2 dozen professional shows including productions by the Royal Shakespeare Company & productions in the reconstructed Globe Theatre.
Finally . . .
I met my husband in a high school ballroom dance class and he instantly became my first crush. I was married to this ballroom class crush on August 25, 2010 - 12 years to the day that we met. We have fur-baby Yorkie named Romeo and are expecting a non-fur human baby March 2016!
What else? You should know that I love to check off “To Do” lists and sometimes add things to the list just so I can check it off, Yes, I do zumba, I like to sneeze - I think it is cleansing, I am SCUBA certified, I love animals and I talk to them just as I would any human being, I always try to peek at my presents before Christmas, I don’t like Jell-o and I love teaching theatre!
